At Fight for Better Tomorrows, there are six things we believe to be true. These are non-negotiable statements. They are rooted in fact – not opinion – and therefore cannot be changed. They are:
We believe in talking about the topics no one wants to or feels comfortable talking about – like mental illness, self-harm, suicide, substance use disorders, eating disorders, recovery and self-care. We believe that stigma and shame grow in silence, and we will not be silent.
While we're not doctors or therapists ourselves, we can certainly point you in the right direction to help you find the resources you need. Simply fill out the form, and we'll get back to you in 24-48 hours. Promise.
If you're feeling suicidal or that you might hurt yourself (or someone else), please call 911 immediately. If you're experiencing a less severe crisis and need someone to talk to, here are a few helpful resources.
We're not doctors, therapists, counselors or mental health professionals. We didn't study psychology in school. But we are a group of people living with mental illness, navigating recovery and learning how to take care of ourselves in the process. And because we know what it's like to do it alone, we believe you shouldn't have to.
Fight for Better Tomorrows was built on the belief that tomorrow can be different. We're here to share our stories and help you navigate recovery so you can fight for better tomorrows, too.
